The Audubon Zoo which is located in New Orleans, Louisiana is a 58 acre zoo that is home to over 2,000 animals. The zoo opened in 1914 in Audubon park, originally it was only 14 acres and had small brick and steel bar cages. In 1975, the zoo was expanded to it’s current size and the animals were moved into larger, more natural exhibits.
