Potter Park Zoo located in West Orange, New Jersey opened in 1963 with 140 animals and was featured as a showcase for animals native to the New York City area. Since that time, the zoo has grown to include over 1,400 animals spanning 150 species on the zoo’s 20 acres of property.
The zoo attracts nearly 3/4 million visitors per year.
